Tonight I will be going along with Emad to see Deep Purple with Thin Lizzy and Joe Satriani. I'll let you guys know how the concert was when I get home tonight. Has anyone else seen deep purple on this tour?

this'd be even more fun if I could find someone to take my extra ticket :irked:. Matt is in the 11th row, i'm in like the 110th

Still, I get to see Satriani perform live and in the end, that's all that matters :D. Thin Lizzy also has some REALLY amazing stuff. It's sad though that very few teenagers have heard of Thin Lizzy, Deep Purple, or Joe Satriani.

Just got back from the Deep Purple concert!

It was AMAZING! Thin lizzy was alright, they played for about 45 minutes, then they changed the drums and everything then Joe Satriani came on, and me and my friend were 5 feet from him! It was unbelievable, and we were right where the camera guy was so satriani was always there omg it was unbelievable. Then next Deep Purple came on and played for 2 hours. Deep purple was awesome, they played three songs from bannanas theyre latest cd and then space truckin, smoke on the water, highway star, speed king and others I dont remember, I practically got high on second hand marijuana, I wont touch the stuff though. I didnt think we would be so close, we got there and my friend and I were like freaking we ended up being in the 5th row like 20 feet from the stage then for satriani we moved up to the stage but they wouldnt let us for deep purple. Anyways it was an amazing concert, RUSH TOMORROW!

I was about halfway back - far enough to see this thick haze over nearly half the amphitheater. Made me wonder how much of it wasn't from cigarettes

when satriani came on, I thought I died and went to heaven. After they switched to deep purple, it was as if the gates were opened and I stepped in.

My complaint about Thin Lizzy was that you couldnt even hear the bassist, and the over the top high pitch from one or 2 of their songs.

Satriani's performance was just superb - even though I didn't recognize some of the songs. I think he even added in chunks of Mind Storm. The best part was when he made it sound as though he was using turntables rather than a guitar.

Deep Purple was also playing top knotch. I think I was nearly high for parts of Deep Purple's performance because I was over the top giddy when they played some of their songs - especially after they played smoke on the water.

Anyways, awesome show - especially considering it's the first concert i've ever been to.

I knew I was missing out on a good concert last night, but since I'm seeing Rush today, I'm not all that dissapointed. Lawn tickets, w00t!

Pffttt...screw you guys. I saw the B.B. King Blues Fest and Norah Jones in the same week. What?! Unh, *****!

Just kidding, I would've loved to see Deep Purple and Thin Lizzy. I have a friend who saw Rush in Atlanta, said it was amazing.

But I seriously did see B.B. King and Norah Jones last week. 👍
