Im stuck on gran turismo championship race in the professional hall, I have golded all the races in beginner and professional except this series, where i get whipped. Im looking to get to the extreme hall but it says i have to complete all races in beginner and professional. Now does complete mean just race and finish or do i have to place in the top three (win trophy) for it to count as completion. Thanks in advance for your help

There are two types of competitions in GT... the first type involves a 'Series', in which your points per race are accumulated and the driver with the most points wins the series... in this type of competition, you need only win the series overall, and not every individual race, i.e. if you already have an insurmountable lead before the beginning of the final race, you do not need to do the last race...

... the other type is the 'Single Race' competition, where you can do the races as stand-alone races, and in any order... but here, you must win each individual race (not just a podium, you must win them)...

To complicate matters though, you can also participate in 'Series' races individually as well (i.e. not as part of a series)...., but doing the races this way will mean you have not 'won' the series, even if you win every race.... but in order to get 100% completion in the game, you must not only win the series at some point in the game, but also win/gold every 'Series' race as if they were stand-alone races too... got it?

What I usually do is race the Series in series mode and then go back to the races that I didn't win and do them individually, but in a better or a souped-up car... that way, you have completed the series (necessary to advance the game) and golded each individual race, needed for 100%...

Yes, you only need to win the series to progress... winning every race individually will not win you the series, hence why some people are getting stuck.

^ do you know if you win each event in a series individually do you still get the prize car at the end of it???

You will only get the prize car for winning the Series....
