They nerfed the McLaren 650S and didn't even touch the Porsche 911. How is it even possible that someone actually thought the McLaren was better in the pre-existing meta than Group 3's fast master that's been fasting on everything on most tracks for several months without fail?

And don't even get me started on how stupid it is to not buff cars that have essentially gone extinct in Sport Mode. There's a reason why they go extinct.
 
One thing I don't quite understand is that every time the BoP is changed, the general direction is more weight. Unless I'm badly mistaken there's exactly one Gr3 car left that doesn't carry extra ballast, many of them having 100+ kg extra weight. While adding weight undeniably slows a car down it also kills the handling, a prime example being the GT-R which was a pig before and giving it more power and more weight certainly isn't doing it any favours.

It's to simulate the players putting on extra weight the more time theyre sitting playing video games

BoP team must be starting to use the AI more (in other words getting lazier). Only reasonable explanation for how backwards recent BoP changes have been.
 
It all depends on the new physics. If they adjusted it to make MR cars easier to drive (a few people have reported this but I haven't tried yet) then maybe they had to chuck weight onto the FR cars to balance them out a bit as they would have been on rails by comparison.

Also, if MR cars are easier to drive then the McLaren could have been a bit of a monster as it was always fast but hard to drive.
