Deleting Game data - a thought...

I was contemplating doing this and re-installing with no updates to do the nascar challenges, as the original was patched so the ASM was on permanently, and is much easier to do without ASM...

But, if the trade cap was brought in in V1.07, does that mean that if I were to re-install with no updates, I would have no trade cap/limit? 💡

Maybe. But was the ability to send cars there from the beginning?

You won't have online features and will most likely be getting pop-ups every 3 minutes telling you to update.

But if all he is doing is sending cars, then it doesn't really matter. And I'm happy to help OP test it, just send me an x2010 or something :sly: :lol:

You would be signed out of PSN when you refuse to update so he wouldn't be able to send anything.

Can even ruin it more for him: Version 1.00 didn't had seasonals so he also can't do the Nascar (he still can't because it stopped)

I think he was talking about the special events that were in the game at the start.
 
The game didn't come with car trading..so if you delete your game data you wont be able to trade cars...car trading came in patch 1.01 I believe..and there is no way of downloading individual patches.

I was thinking. If i delete the game data and do rubberbanding before the slowing wall appeared would i be able to do the high speed race one and be able to make 12 mill a night instead of 6 mill. Without breaking the game? 0.o

That won't work, in 1.0 after exiting the race you have to reload. The only benefit to going back is for the trading glitch, and even that doesn't work as well with the additional size added to game saves.
 
Not to mention if you delete your game data you lose all photos, replays, created tracks, and some car thumbnails in your garage. Not sure if that's an issue for you.
I deleted my game data and reinstalled it recently to see if I could improve loading times and was a little PO'ed that I lost so much.
