Hi I have posted this here as it seems the most sensible to me sorry if I am in the wrong place, on my ps4 when I am on the home page the list of things on my ps4 is growing alas I haven't put any of the things there.
I have the first line which has Notifications Friends Events etc then if I press down once on my pad I have another list where all the games I play are listed, now I only play about 4 games but in the line next to these games are things like Spotify and Share factory also a few more useless things I will never use called media player and playstation videos-my videos.
Is it possible to delete these things off my ps4? and if so does any kind soul know how to do it?
many thanks in advance.

The console comes standard with many PS Apps. and I don't think you can delete them.
Things that are downloadable, such as Media Player, can be deleted though. (Highlight and press Option button)

You can limit the number of Apps shown (I think it cuts it down to the last 15 or 20 used) in Settings > System.
https://manuals.playstation.net/document/en/ps4/settings/limitnumber.html

Or you could group certain Apps (such as all the PS Apps) into folders to reduce the length of the XMB.

Thank you very much Tassie_tiger appreciated, sticking them all in one folder sounds like just what I need, No doubt I would completely mess it up so I will get my son to do it when he calls over next. Again thank you.

Many of those services pay for placement. The apps are there whether you use them or not, basically as ads.
