For 2014 DeltaWing race cars built a Coupe variant of the distinguishable Deltawing design, the bubble roof making it look like a jet fighter, as the Elan powered car ran in the inaugural TUDOR United Sportscar Championship. Reliability was questionable, with the car frequently breaking down and the team skipped a few events to focus on development.
For the season ending Petit Le Mans, a 10 Hour event at Road Atlanta, the DeltaWing Coupe debuted a raft of changes. Note the unique aerodynamic front tray, and small rear wing on the back of the car. The car was qualified 5th in class. The Chaves / Legge / Meyrick car ran as high as 3rd in the race eventually finished a highly impressive 4th place, 2 laps down after 10 hours in a car breaking event.
