Demo GR3 Car speed is higher, Why?

Advice please! Viewing demo video in Campaign Mode, GR3 car showing 240+mph on straight away. Non-Garage GR3 assigned to me, I can only get 165mph. CP Mode want let me power up. Why the disparity. I could have won a gold if I could get a higher speed in the straight away. Advice please and most appreciated.

Gr.3 cars could never hit that sort of speed. In the demonstration video, speed is measured in km/h, so the speed shown there is equal to about 149 mph.

Gr3 cars don't do 240+ mph. Probably a case of km/h vs mph.

Wow! I thought about that at times. I am trying to look at all the cockpit indicators and trying to keep from running off the road. Thank you so much for responding.
