I got a PS2 yesterday and my Dad picked it up - along with all the stuff he bought for himself and mum, but unfortunately he didn't get any games (getting them today). So, I've been stuck with that crappy demo that comes with the PS2 and seeming as I haven't played a demo since 2000 on my PSX, I never realized how crap they are.

Just like to share that with you all.

Don't hassle the demo that comes with the PS2. It is the best and only demo you get with the three next gen consoles so be thankful!

You get:
-SSX
-Wild Wild Racing
-another game i cant think of

and a few watching demos.

funny, i never got a demo disc with my PS2(at least i dont recall getting one). and I got mine on Dec. 2nd, almost a full month after it came out. that bites.. If i did get one i never saw it because i was too busy playing Ridge Racer 5 and Timesplitters.

Admittedly the quality of the demos dont match the ones on the PSX but, those are like the first few games to come out for the PS2 and remember it did have such a crappy initital base of games.

I hope you say that when they put the GT4 demo on OPM.

Heh.

What was the point in reviving this thread when it was dead...

With games like tony hawk, I didn't think demos were that bad. I remember with thps 2 I played the demo all the time and finally bought the real version and ended playing the same levels as the demo because I memorized them. So I guess it does kinda ruin some of the fun.
