Describe you first wheel experience in GT series

Like written above, describe your first experience driving in whatever GT game with a wheel. If you remember what car was the "first" one, and the track also, maybe you have some photo af that particular car and track made in Photomode? Which was your wheel model? Share with us all :)

I'll start with mine.
I am an GT fan every since GT2 game, and while playing through every game in the series to date, didn't get an opportunity to play on a wheel. However, not untill lately, on GT5.
And man, it was stunning! The whole new dimension of control and much greater immersion. The feeling those first 3-4 laps was like, well the best example will be, like geting 5 kg of icecream at age of nine.
Well, the car was real clasic, Alfa Romeo Giulia TZ2, and driven on, you have one quess, the "Ring".
The wheel model was lended G25.

driving force gt playing GT5, don't remember the car.

I was much slower with the wheel for about one week but I didn't care. It felt so much more realistic and more fun I vowed to never use a controller again. The wheel made me buy another racing game, which is f1 2012 and I love it too.
 
GT1,black MadCatz,ever since with wheel.GT5 online changed it all,back to DS3.Great job PD
 
I came from pc sims and began using wheels with the original MS Sidewinder a couple of decades ago. I haven't used anything but wheels since so starting GT5 with a wheel was no big change for me. I did try driving with the controller...once, it may have helped to check the default button maps before doing so however :)
As far as first car and track, ps3 is my first console and GT5 my first driving sim. That being the case, in order to get to know the game physics I started with the license tests so whatever track and car PD gave us for the 1A test would be my first.
 
I played GT right from the beginning GT1 through to GT5 but it wasn't until GT4 that I got a driving force pro, first track was the nurb but I don't remember what car, I too was slower at first but the game was so much better, it was so much more realistic. I played so much that when I got GT5 I was having mechanical issues with the DRP that I decided to get the driving force gt it took me about day to get used to the bigger wheel, better force feedback and different button layout (wanting to look behind but flashing my lights lol) but it was worth every penny and GT5's graphics just blew me away!
