Design Legend Giorgetto Giugiaro Visits Polyphony Digital Offices

Polyphony Digital has received another high-profile guest to its offices as legendary car designer Giorgetto Giugiaro dropped into the Tokyo HQ, leading to some speculation as to the nature of his visit...

It’s funny how cars(excluding SUVs) are going back to blunt front fascia’s like the 70s and 80s.

Mazda been doing it with Kodo design for the past 15 years. BMW getting back into the upright grille and a bit of shark nose with the Neue Klasse. Hyundai/Genesis, Mercedes-Benz, Honda. It’s always hip to be square. ;)

Is Lotus in any current racing games? I know they were in the original AC.

Forza Motorsport and Horizon 5, Need for Speed Unbound, and the AC Evo beta.

Also in The Crew Motorfest, Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown, Automobilista 2, iRacing, RaceRoom, GRID Legends, Project CARS 1-3... Basically in any game except Gran Turismo (and rFactor 2, to be precise) :)

Giorgetto Giugiaro along with the late Marcello Gandini and Leonardo Fioravanti are the three King's of car design. All born in 1938 in Northern Italy.

Automobile legends.
What about Giovanni Michelotti?

Very talented and made some beautiful designs. But not born in 1938 and from a period of car design from an older era. The other 3 practically defined car design in the 70s and 80s: The car poster on the wall era.

And Batista Farina, too. Aka Pinin Farina. Born in the early ‘30’s, I think.

Wait....wait just a second is the guigario VGT still a possibility or was that what became the italdesign VGT?
I think it is the Italdesign, at the end is the name of his company

Ahh right, my bad then!

Maybe the italdesign VGT might finally have an interior at some point now

One could only hope. All I want is more tracks. Fake or real I don't care.
Slightly off-topic, but may I ask what your reason is? New tracks are cool, but personally I'd never choose a new track over having one of my favorite cars added. There's a lot of people like you, so I'm wondering what your thinking is.

I like a large variety of tracks over cars. There is enough cars in the game to satisfy me. I would love even a simple track creator like GT5 had. I like the challenge of different tracks. The more the better. I can drive the same cars over and over but not the same tracks
