hi all…i am new here because i recently discovered your forum.. nice to meet you all guys.

I am writing because i have serious doubts regarding witch wheel is best to buy.

My budget is around maximum 150 € but.. the less the better….

Options: driving force gt, for about 110 € (italy), or porsche 911 carrera for 160€.

I am also looking for used items, but it's hard to find these wheel at 50% the original price: i think it's not worth to buy a second hand item saving only 40€ on 160.

Can you give me some advice? And are there pros or cons about these 2 wheels?

Important: i play only rfactor (pc) basically only with f1 mods.

Get a "new" Fanatec GT3rs v2. The Carrera is discontinued. You have 3 choices for pedals. The Fanatec wheels kill Logitech's because of the adjustments that can be made to the wheel itself. This flexibility is why, arguably, the Fanatec wheels may be better than the $600 T500. Yes, the T500 has advanced FFB. But, it is the FIRST of the next generation of wheels. At E3, Thomas, from Fanatec, has already announced the next advancement in Fanatec's lineup.

@bristol,

The carrera might be discontinued, BUT, Fanatec has a mass stock of them. So, you can still get the Carrera at 160. The reason why used is pricey right now is mainly due to the demand of quality gaming wheels. Here is the link for the Carrera wheel for Italy..... http://www.fanatec.de/webshop/new_e...id=66&osCsid=0858d52365fe1337aec0e881af6b7d83

The DFGT by logitech is a decent wheel though. For the price, damn good. Thrustmaster has some lower level priced wheels, but from what I know, its T500 or bust with them.

To help yiu with you decision.I have both the GT2 and T500 currently. If I had to keep just one wheel it would be the GT2 juat because it works with all the systems, clubsport pedals are great and I get to use the clutch as of right now with the H-shifter and sequencial shifter. I have had the GT3 rs V2 and it was great just no x-box support. My friend has the carrera wheel and its ok. Wheel material is kind of sticky and the standard people leave a lot to be desired.

Which one do you think is better? DFGT or Fanatec Carrera?
Do you think if the carrera worth the overpricing (about 40Euros)?

Well, right now you can buy Carrera + Rennsport wheelstand for 220 inlcuding shipping.
That's a DFGT + WSP for the same price (actually the DFGT + WSP runs around 240).

Gonna have to start a wheel users anonymous hotline methinks.

Yeah, but you have to give me the free number, otherwise I will be ruined.

You'd only want to know which is the best line to ring.

Just to be awkward, are their any decent gaming wheels out there with a UK setup? Gear stick on the left lol :)

I think the DFGT is the only one with a dedicated right hand sequential shifter tbh.

You won't go wrong with either. Pick one.

Both will require pedals replacement as both standard pedal sets are inadequate for sim* racing{at the top level}.....OTOH, a G27 not only has excellent pedals as standard, one can modify the crap out of the pedals{primarily the brake pedal} if one chooses.

You also get a superior wheel in the form of the G27 with it's leather rim and full sized paddle shifters, not to mention a detached 6speed shifter as well.

*couldn't drive netkapro or iracing with stock DFGT, huge brake locks ups all the time.

DFGT is a arcade racing wheel which will force an upgrade on you, so go straight to the top and get a G27, or consider T500/Fanatec with CSPedals.
