Wow, awesome news for you guys who have never seen this show before. Trust me, it's the best new show since Ba Ba Black Sheep (Black Sheep Squadron).

Dexter - A show about an adopted boy who grows up to be an emotionless killer. His father was a cop, and educates his boy on how to kill and get away with it, and for 'good' reasons, despite it still being murder.

He works for the Metro Miami Police Department as a forensic blood splatter scientist. He's fascinated by the sight of human blood, which is why he prefers to sever the carotid artery of his victims.

Awesome show filled with adult themes and topics. Great humor, great action, great dialog, great characters... just great everything. You don't want to miss this chance to finally watch it if you don't have Showtime or purchased the DVD set.

The catch is, he only kills bad guys.
Envision if you will, the Boondock Saints only a more intelligent approach.

Serial killer of serial killers. I loved the first season I saw on DVD. And like with most successful shows, characters are awesome, and story's top notch. 👍
 
And I'm wishing that they'd bring Tru Calling to a more "mainstream" channel.
Our cable service doesn't do the TV guide thing so I can never find it. I just luck on to it every so often...
 
Big fan of the show. Since episode one I've watched it every Sunday at 9PM on Showtime. What a spectacular ending to season two.

Although I'm not sure how the network censors plan to handle the "Deb" character... her dialogue will be one long stream of bleeps :sly:
 
pff I'm waiting for 3rd season but stiil I cant see any official season 1-2 dvds in the EU
why dont they want to make some money? :S
 
I just went to add it to the To Do list on the TiVo but apparently my wife already did.
 
I was expecting to see a lot more of the premium channel shows to make the transition to the main networks with the writers' strike, but since that's over, I guess we get to go back to the same old dreck :sly:
 
My parents have been telling me how great the show is (they ordered Showtime for a short period just to watch it), and I was thinking of picking up the DVD at some point.

Won't they have to water it down to show it on CBS, considering the subject matter?

I just love that show, big fan of dark stuff like that, especially because it has quite some moments of sick humour.
But I only saw season 1 so far, they're not running 2 yet over here.

lol those ways almost become legal and advised ways :)
theres no doubt that season 1 was extremly perfect. but I cant say that for season 2. tension is high in s2 but they have almost killed the show in finale episode. I cant still understand how did they do those unwanted things.
anyway dexter is always the best show for me and Im def waiting for 3rd season.
 
I really like this show and they are started to show it on our Canadian channels but when season 1 was on HBO I could see it uncut but I am wondering how it will work on a National TV station without the swearing etc...

Its been one of my favorite shows for a while now. This season has been no disappointment in my opinion, this last episode proves it. I just hope Lumen isn't the beginning of the end, but rather a new beginning. The preview for next Sunday's episode showed them both wrapping up a room in the house he, Rita, and the kids shared to lure a new victim.
 
I think Dexter is starting to like Lumen more and more.They could be the Tag Team serial killers or someting of that nature.

I don't really think this will be the beginning of the end,but a new beginning.You never know though the creators of Dexter have been known to twist our foot off at times lol

It was also creepy how Jordan invited Dexter in to the room and knew his son's name and other personal info. That conversation Dexter and Deb had about Harry saying some people deserve or that others don't deserve to live was interesting.

This is actually the first season i have seen Quinn's PI and i've seen every episode.

It stinks that he seen them and took pictures.I think what's going to happen is since he knows that Dexter is with Lumen on the boat he's gonna say that Dexter met a new woman and he offed his wife.The photos he got was when they were on the boat at the dock and not out in the water.He was too far away to tell what they were doing.So i think he's gonna try and say Dexter is the murderer of his wife or something to that nature.

Yeah the conversation between Morgan and Dexter was interesting.He had this look about him that said to me that he wanted to tell her or would eventually tell her what he does.I think that may happen,but i'm not sure.

Well we got a new and even more interesting episode coming this sunday and it looks to be just starting to get good.
 
Another big Dexter fan here. I've watched every episode to date and luckily the quality still remains high IMO. The P.I. is a new character this season and the actor is none other than the original Robocop if I'm not mistaken.
 
OK that's what I thought. It's just in the episode Quinn met him in the bar made it seem as if we'd seen him previously and should know who he is. Also in this episode he says to Debra something like "we've both been f-ed by LaGuerta" again as if we were supposed to know why. It's just weird. Also yes it is Robocop, but that's not why I'm thinking he looks familiar.
