I'm assuming you've lost part of the usb cable here. It can be fixed. You need to buy a standard usb cable. buy the smallest, cheapest kind you can find as it's going to be getting cut anyway.
Take it to someone who's handy with a soldering iron. Could be a friend, member of the family, or even just a local electronics repair shop (maybe even a small, independent computer shop) and have them do a clean job of cutting the usb cable on the dfgt and your new usb cable.
Solder, seal and you should be good to go. It shouldn't cost too much. Nowhere near the cost of a used DFGT.
When it's fixed, make sure it's sealed well. If the repaired section looks weak, neatly apply masking tape around the weakened section and have it overlap with the stronger parts.
Lastly, be careful with the new cable. Depending on how professional a job is done, the days of taking it to a friend's house may be over. If it's done really well then you should be okay. But be careful.
