DFGT case/shell help......

1st off I would like to say you guys have a great forum . I'm new to posting here but I've been lurkin for some time now. Well my question is how to get the DFGT apart ? It seems to be the clamps that are holding it together . I seen a tread talkin bout takin apart the case on a g25 ,but when a clicked on it the link was down . I going to put a 60mm 5v dc pc fan powered by USB over the motor and I need the case off to cut the hole.:) Thank you for your time and good racing.:)

Erm,there are screws you can uuuhhhrrmm unscrew at the underside of the wheelbox..... 💡

Even with all the screws out the top of the shell comes up (bout 2 1/2 in.)but the clamps are holding it on some how.................... ??? I'm stuck....
 
Can you unscrew the clamps until they come off? I've never tried myself!
 
When u unscrew the clamps all the way , they get tight . I think if I turn anymore they'll break.......im stumped

I took off the clamps and hardmounted my DFGT, it's not hard, I don't understand why you can't do it:confused:! Look here at the last photo, there is no clamp. There, at the clamp base, i drilled a hole to hard mount the wheel:tup:!

Man I feel like a dummy. Just got it off .... It was hanging up on the bolt on the bottom of the shifter.... First dumb moment of the year:) thanks for the help . I'll post pics of my cuts and sanded fan hole later .
