DFGT dead for USB problems

My Driving Force GT is unusable as soon as I insert the cable into USB port I get a message saying that "it's beenreached the maximum level of power available for USB. Remove at least one device". I then removed the memory key, but does not work. Any ideas?
 
I've called them but I found a technician not at all prepared on the subject. He told me that they will replace with a refurbished console. But I would like to understand the problem and try to solve it right now :scared:
 
I would advise to plug your wheel on a PC first to ensure that your console is the problem, not the wheel. You should always plug everything on your wheel before plugging it into your console (pedals and power supply).

I'd have a refurb personally, in my experience it only takes a couple of days.
