I've been eyeing mods that are out there, one particular mod that I could easily do right away is the elastic/bungie rope pedal mod.

The first time, I've used my wheel, I didnt mind the softness of the pedals, especially the gas pedal, but when I saw the mod, I thought I try it and see what's all the fuss about it.

It really works wonders! I really feel like the real stiffness of the pedals, somehow. It even made me drive an MR racer car much better than without the ropes (I tend to over step down on the gas coming out of a turn with an MR)

After using it for a short while, one main concern showed up from the experience I got. I use two 600mm elastic rope and I'm worried whether the pedals could handle "pressure" that the two ropes exert. In the long run, I'm worried that the plastic pedals will lose its sensitivity or simply snapped.

Anyone else out there that have used this kind of mod had experience to share about it? My main concern is whether the pedals would survived prolong used with the ropes. I really like to keep them on, they feel awesome!

Your not a hardcore GT5'er until you have a DFGT with Bungy Cord Mod lol.... Legend well done mate.
One of the few concerns i had about my DFGT was how light and plastic the pedals were so i can understand your worry about the pressure....Should be fine for a while but i would look for a more permanent and less stressful ( for the pedals ) mod.
Either that or use it and save your pennies for a G27/fanatec/thrustmaster when your pedals decide to give up.

Thanks! My first set up for the pedal mod, showed some problems with the prolong used. Everytime I press down on the gas pedal, the ropes are too tight in that set-up that it also bring the brake pedal in a small amount. A small amount that could have big effects in the game.

So I had to find a different set up for the cords, that brings me the same resistance from the first set-up while keeping the brake pedal safe.

Here's what I came up with,

I get the same resistance, and it seems more stable overall. The brake pedal doesnt not get pressed down accidentally now.
