i have a DFGT and have been using it for LFS and iracing and it works perfectly fine
(after a sponge mod for the pedals and home made H shifter + clutch:sly:)
but when ever i would play gt5 with it there was a massive deadzone in the force feedback that i felt was very very irritating and destroyed drifting for me
for this reason i never bought gt5

i know the g25/g27 had this same problem aswell but i tried a g25 after the 2.0 update and the problem had been fixed :)

i have been trying to find out if it has also been fixed for the DFGT but have had no luck at all finding this information i have the money right now for gt5 but need to know if its been fixed yet before i get it

with my dfgt the wheel deffinatly hunted for the center line at speed. we knew this and held it tight, everybody loved that wheel. now i have a g27 and we can completly let the wheel go on a straight and it tracks perfectly. game settings combined with the logitech profilier settings online make for a very nice wheel, regardless of personal preferences. the g27 has a very small dead zone at neutral, dfgt does not. this eliminates the wander.

so i just need to tune it in the logitech profiler?

what settings did you use

profilier default should be very close to perfect, no spring force and dont go over 100 on any settings. check the use game settings box. my gt ffb is at 8. no power assist. straight as an arrow.

I too have noticed a deadzone in my DFGT. It started last week when I did the Mazda 4 hour enduro. After three hours the ffb was gone in the 10-2 positions on the wheel. I finished the race with the controller. Tonight I had an hour long race at Madrid and same thing, the deadzone was noticeable. If I move the wheel very quickly between 10-2 the car does not move from it's line. Only when the ffb kicks in does the car move. This all started after I did the enduro. Coincidence or did the latest update mess with the wheel settings?

no it isnt the latest update it was always there for me in gt5 i havnt tried the new update with dfgt yet but they fixed it for g25/g27 i think ur just noticing it more cause uv been driving for a long piriod of time try what genius said and change some **** in the profiler

it could also be overheating wheels tend to loose ffb when they over heat take the top off and have a fan blow on it

So removing the top and having a fan blow cool air on the wheel helps? I'm not mechanically inclined lol so if my first DFGT takes a crap I'll just get a G27 lol.
