I'm getting a bit frustrated. I was racing the FR seasonal event on Suzuka in a Corvette, and it just felt really odd. The car seemed unresponsive to slight steering inputs at high speed, and I realized that, ordinarily, turning the wheel at all at high speed should be pretty difficult. However, on the DFGT, there is absolutely no resistance when turning the wheel within several degrees of center, so when I make turns that "feel" correct, I'm actually overturning the wheel and losing tons of grip.

I was just wondering if anyone else was frustrated with this or had any suggestions. I noticed that my DFP, which is still set up from GT4, has pretty constant resistance throughout, and I'm actually considering switching back until I can either find a quick fix for the DFGT or get something else. Or maybe I'll just deal with it. Any thoughts?

Great car! and i have the same thing. but my pedals broke anyway. so i buy a new wheel. i am still don't know which one. G27 or T500RS...

All Logitechs have a little FFB dead zone in the middle. You may not recall it, but the DFP does too.

It' seems to depend on tires and car. If the car/tire has low grip GT5 weakens the center spring at the center. It's the same with my Fanatec wheel as well.
As far as all Logitech wheels dead zone this is done by Logitech Profiler as default. It seems GT5 overrides this. If you don't believe me go race the X2010 at Indy. No ffb dead zone at all. (The whole point of this dead zone is so you don't have to fight the wheel down the straight like you do in GT5.)

As far as DFGT it's "soft" center spring effect is very weak. If you let go of the wheel it will center itself (no ffb dead zone) yet it so weak I can't feel it.
