Just got my new Logitech DFGT, been using it for two days,
the steering wheel is beautiful, pedals are ok, but the Force feedback is horrible, does not feel right for me, have it set at 1 and I do not like it, so I use it with no power, had the same unrealistic feeling with the original Logitech that I bought when the first Gran Turismo came out, always used it with no power, any recomendations are truly appreciated:tup:

Try putting the force feedback to something higher and see how it goes then. Also, give it time and just use it as normal, and you might get used to it.

It definitely takes a little while to get used to. It took me quite a few hours to learn what the feedback was "telling" me. I went with the route of turning power assist on and having ffb at 1.

I worked my way all the way up to 8 over a period of multiple months. Now that I know the tracks and understand the feedback, I have it back at 3. Allows me to be quicker with the wheel transitions.

I do use the G27 now, but my first 6 months of gameplay where on the DFGT.(an excellent wheel)

Keep using it and you will eventually start to feel the information coming through. You might want to start with something fairly easy and low powered in the beginning. A miata wouldn't be a bad start.

Good luck:tup:

edit - I would also suggest turning off all the aids except for ABS. To me, the traction control, SRF, and other items make the feeling through the wheel strange.

I find that if power steering is on it can completely ruin the feels of the ffb...so try turning that off?

I agree with eventually turning it off. It justs reduces some of the resistance in the beginning. Plus, most of us that are used to driving a car, have power steering. So a logical step is to start with it on... But definitely not necessary.

The most important thing will be time spent using the wheel. But I admit the first feelings of it fighting you is strange. You will learn to fight back. A lot of times you will have to "rip" it right through the resistance. Don't worry, it won't break.

Fully agree with redreevos! And I happen to own DFPro.

My friend has the DFPro and let me try it out a couple of years ago. I guess its his fault I got introduced to this addiction. Great wheel.

thanks guys for all the ideas, I will keep trying untill I find the sweet spot, Merry Christmas to all

Ffb wheels do not react or feel like a real steering wheel so it does take a little getting use to. (real steering wheel are design to multiply the force the driver apply to it while ffb wheels doesn't account this force applied to the wheel and is glided only by the software) Once you get use to it you probably never race without ffb.

I bought one myself yesterday, and I've found it a rather strange experience.

The trouble I'm having is when the steering goes from light to hard or vice versa mid corner. If I had to apply the same force all the way through the corner etc... I think I would get on a lot better with it, at the mo I'm just getting frustrated with it.
