Hey I'm thinking of getting into iRacing. I went to setup my driving force GT to my desk, but the clamp doesn't stretch far enough down to fit the desk. Is it possible for anyway to get that wheel clamp to fit on the desk, any ideas?

If I can't find a way then my only option is to connect to a laptop and the laptop I have is a little netbook lol.

Are there blocks on the clamps? If you haven't already removed them then I don't think there is much you can do.

You could use some G-clamps to hold a thinner sheet of wood in place on the edge of your desk and clamp the DFGT to that. Other than that, when I opened my DFP I found screw threads in the bottom, but to use them you'd have to drill holes in the DFGT's bottom case (if the DFGT has them too), and you'd also have to drill holes in your desk, so that's hardly ideal.

How do I get them off?

You sort of twist them off, push against one of the longer sides that come down past the clamp's edge and they should just pop off. It's 3.20am here so I apologise if I'm not making sense...

Yeah thanks for that idea I might have to do that if I can't fix the clamp thing.

Thanks so much guys I got the clamps off and the wheel fits perfect on the desk!
