My Driving Force GT just died on me I think... I need to know if It can be fixed or if it's just a straight up boat anchor.
I was racing online tonight (two 5 lap races), left to eat dinner and came back about an hour later. I finished 1 more race, switched to my FTO GP version R on rome and I have no force feedback when turning left, minimal force feedback when turning right. I unplugged the wheel completely (fearing that overheating may have caused the problem) and plugged it back in 5 minutes later. Now it won't even calibrate. the GT symbol comes on and it turns completely to the left and stops. the light just keeps blinking. Do I have a doorstop or can this be fixed? If it's useless, what should I get to replace it, and I ain't gonna buy another DFGT. this thing has been nothing but problems. Thanks in advance for any tips.

Sounds like she got too hot Road.
I would immediately throw it in the trash, call Endor and purchase a CSR elite.

I jumped from DFGT to a G27, then finally the CSRE.

All the time I spent messing with low end wheels I should have just went big to begin with.

I had two DFGTs fail, but I won't talk smack about them. Logitech makes good stuff in its price point. Do yourself a favor and check out Fanatec and Thrustmaster before you make a choice.

I would contact Logitech first to see if they can help you with your problem. If they cannot; then indeed go buy a better wheel if you can afford it.

Choosing between a Fanatec or G27 is totally up to you.
I have the Fanatec GT2 myself and i can tell you i hated it after having the DFGT. Not because it was bad, but because it was so customisable. I needed to find settings for everything and i am still fiddling with it to make it feel like my old DFGT. I do like the fact that you cannot feel any notches from the gearing and that the wheel can be very fast, which is good while drifting.

If you dont want to customise all this stuff and dont play any Xbox , would personally just go for the G27.

EDIT: Maybe you can even get a good deal with Logitech if you offer to buy a G27 instead of them fixing your DFGT.

I found out that I was still under the 1 year warranty, so they are gonna send me a shipping label to send in the defective wheel and then I'm gonna get a brand new one for free. gotta love the warranty.
