Started happening last night. Not every time but every once in a while when I downshift using the left button on the back of the wheel it goes two gears down instead of one when I press the button only once.

Am I SOL or is there a way to fix it perhaps?

Thanks guys. :(

Sounds like a faulty switch. They are easy to damage by pressing them to hard. Adding a shifter mod like mentioned above will put more force on the switch itself and lead to premature damage as well. As for fixing/replacing it, I am sure you could do it if you can find the right match or even better replacement switch. PM Mr Basher I would bet he could tell you what kind of switch it is. Sorry for your bad luck. I went through the same ordeal as well. You can fix it or give you an excuse to upgrade to a T500 like I did.

So the switch itself could be bad? I was hoping to fix it myself, and perhaps naively hoping the switch wasn't broken it just needed to be cleaned or realigned. If they're easy to damage from being vigorous I would imagine it's from the fast downshifts in the Ferrari F1s, often 4 or 5 downshifts in roughly a second or two. :/

Thanks for your advice, I'll PM Mr Basher. I kind of want to open it up and see if a quick clean would help it, are there any guides that show how to get to the left downshift button? There are a bunch of screws back there I'm hoping it's possible to access that area of the wheel without disassembling too much.
