DFGT Noisy?

Alright I need some help/advice I've been looking at the Driving Force GT, but I'm not sure since I'm worried about the thing being too noisy, I wonder if a towel or blanket for padding in between the desk and wheel as well as between pedal board and ground would help.

I'm mostly concerned because I live in a noisy creaky, dated house; since the floors are made of wood (yes there's carpeting on it) a lot of sound can resonate through, i.e. rolling a heavy chair. Thus the only thing preventing me from getting the DFGT is that noise factor, even though I've heard it produces the least noise in comparison to other wheels, I just don't want to be stuck with a wheel I won't be able to use most of the times due to complaints from all around.

Any experiences from people with this?
Thanks for any help or replies in advance.

Compared to my G25 the DFGT is definitely more noisy.

It is mainly the engines that give the force feedback and I did not see any way to dampen that noise.

on the other hand:
1) This is mainly an issue at start up.
2) It is on the rare track and then still depending on the car/ feedback settings that the wheel starts to try to shake.

For me the noise should not be blocking a purchase.

I support this, it produces some noise especially if you got the force feedback kicking, but it is nothing to stop you from purchasing this great inexpensive wheel.

The noise never bothered me, even my folks they dont get bothered by the wheel at night or anything. It will be loud at first, it seems like that but once you use it and got some hours on it, you dont even notice the noise anymore.

If you are still looking to dampen the noise, there is no way to do that except by opening the machine and applying lubrication on the gears. Not just any lube, Ive read from another thread that it has to be a lubrication that will not cost the gears to rust or you'll be in big trouble.
