Hey guys.

Many, many years ago I purchased the dfgt when it was brand new and honestly I loved it.

Anyway, I have an issue. My dfgt's pedals have stopped responding completely. The gas nor the break give any feedback. The springs are fine, visibly it all looks fine.

Sadly I'm not a "hands on" kinda guy - if it needs repairing I'm clueless on how to do it. Even then, what kinda shop would do quick fixes on such a dated wheel.

My questions are:
A ) ideas on the issue?
B) should I get it repaired or buy new pedals ( can i even do these?)
C) is it now just worth upgrading to a newer steering wheel?
D) if so, what would be a solid and relatively cheap successor to my dfgt.

Cheers pals.

A) It's probably a snapped cable.
B) Don't bother getting it repaired, try and get a set of G25/27 pedals if you want to keep the DFGT. They need modification to work with a DFGT though... So... Maybe not.
C) That depends; do you want to pay for a G27? If yes, then sure, but if no then you could just get a different set of pedals.
D) The G27 is the next step up from the DFGT in terms of both quality and price. The other alternative is a Fanatec CSR but I think it costs more and isn't as good, so unless you play Forza (Fanatec wheels are the only ones that work with 360, PS3 and PC) I wouldn't bother with that.

Not a forza fan and never have been. How much mod work must be done? And how hard is it?

A few years ago I looked into the g25/27, but it was to expensive. Surely it's affordable by now? (Around£120).

Finally I was hoping Logitech would have made a new dfgt, like a new version of their cheapest wheels. The g25 is the next level up, I'd have thought they'd make a new 'cheap wheel' if ygm.
