DFGT - Shift lever mods?

Anyone know if there's a fairly easy modification you can do to the shift lever to make it a bit tighter? I'd like to start using it a big more than the paddles, but I don't like the way it feels.

Any help would be appreciated. 👍

As far as I've seen how the shift lever works... there are two buttons and while shifting you simply push these buttons.. That's also why it sound so bad, and why I prefer the shifters behind the wheel above the lever.

Maybe you can put something soft on these buttons, while you are shifting gears, the touch with the buttons would be faster/softer and the sounds could be more gentle and less anoying

Here's some, not terribly expensive either. I used to have a DFGT, fantastic wheel but those little shifter buttons can be a real pain to reach sometimes.

Thanks, but that's a bit over my head. :lol:

I may take mine apart and see if I can't find some way of making it feel a bit "heavier" Mainly what I'm looking for.
