I've heard of people complaining about the wheel resistance being too much on the DFGT but I find it a bit lacking. Even set at "10" I find the wheel to have a bit too much "play".

I just picked up the wheel last week and am still getting used to it.

My Question:

Has anyone else had this same issue? Have there been any mods to ADD resistance to the wheel? (Ideally always some level of resistance)

I agree. I have been playing the hell out of GT5 with my DFGT, and I also think the force feedback is somewhat lacking (even on 10).

I'm also wondering if it is car specific ... like the IS F has a Japanese-engineered power steering system, while the Elise has no power steering at all ... I haven't check this though, just a thought.

I recall playing Ferrari Challenge and the force feedback was wicked strong on the DFGT.

yes I have found this also, and the random juddering from time to time.

the wheel is better set in simulation mode or pro.

I don't think I have the option to tweak the wheel in any way at all in Gran Turismo 5, except to change the force feedback resistance. Prologue had multiple driving modes, if I recall, but the full game does not (at least I did not find anything like that anywhere in the menus).

The simulation, pro, amatuer thing does not apply to the DFGT. The only settings that effect it are Force Feedback Strength and Power assisted steering
