I need to replace my pedals :guilty: I got bored one day and massacred them by changing stuff around. It actually worked really well for months but now the gas & brake sensitivity is sporadic. I tried to fix it myself but the little servos conected to the pedals seem to be the culprits...so nothing doing. I really don't want to pay $300 for pedals and was hoping someone out there knew of another alternative :indiff: :bowdown:

For those that are curious, here's what I did...

Was nice while it lasted :indiff: :guilty:

Well, unfortunately, you've only got a limited # of options:
* Buy a new wheel AND pedal set & keep the extra wheel around for spare parts should you need them.
* Go w/Frex
or
* Go w/ECCI

Other then that, you're S.O.L. I'm sorry to say.
Good luck though with whatever you decide to do! 👍

go buy new potentiometers... those are the little "servo" things you are looking at. make sure they are connected correctly, and even furthermore.. make your own pedals ! if you want it to b elike a real car design your own pedals, take some out of a car and rig the pots up so they turn when u accelerate and brake...! otherwise.. go buy more logitech pedals, they cost what.. like 15 bux on ebay, and modify it all over again, but you can probably buy matching pots at radioshack, or i saw some on the frex site. later-

actually i have the same problem few days ago, but the problem was gone after a few days

and i want to know, is the GT3 wheel's pedal compatible with DFP or can i just order the pedal from Logitech? just in case it breaks down

I would love it if the GT Force's pedals were compatible with the DFPro wheel. Those old pedals rock. :)

keep an eye on this site... www.justdeals.com

I purchased 3 referbished DFP's as gifts over the holidays.... so far they all work great, everyone is happy with them. I only paid 59.95 for (1) and 69.95 for the other (2). They are priced at 74.95 right now, but shipping is free. Just have to click the add to cart tab to see if there are any in stock. They get them all the time, just keep checking.

Hope this helps.

where can I find some info about the ECCI and Frex pedals?

Well, since no one else has bothered, or knows how (LOL) here you go:
Frex pedals
NOTE 1: And if you need to know, the 3rd clutch pedal is NOT going to work w/GT4! ;-)
NOTE 2: And if you need confirmation that the pedals do work with the PS2, go here then scroll down until you see the words FrexGP PRO Series...

ECCI pedals
These plug right into the same port as the DFP pedals & therefore, as confirmed by ECCI staff, work with the PS2

Good luck!

In case I decide to make my own set of pedals, what do I need to be especially careful about, so that they end up better and more reliable than the stock DFP pedals? (regarding calibration, not mechanical aspects)
Is it necessary to use the exact same potentiometers as in the standard DFP pedals?

since you changed the pedals, im guessing the warranty is void?

if not, just send them back to logitech.

You seem quite handy - have you tried making 'big toe' pads that you can stick to The DS2 'O' & 'X' buttons and then anchor the Dual shock to the floor?

;)

Wow, I had never heard of ECCI before reading this thread. I must have those pedals, even if I have to sell a kidney on eBay.:lol: Those things look uber cool.👍

Funny :sly: I might have to try that though...
