DFP weaker?

I got my DFP about 2 weeks ago, schools out so i play a lot, so i just leave it plugged in and my ps2 turned on 24/7 this cant be good for it, im tryin to change my ways. but yeah anyway my DFP feels like its getting weaker. when i first got it, it would take a little effort to turn it both ways when youre just in menus, and force feedback while playing was pretty strong. IT feels a little weaker now. :mad: just my imagination? have i gotten buffer? or has anyone else experienced this? I have the 2 year replacement thing at bestbuy and im pondering over a replacement, or maybe ill just wait and do it after 1 1/2 year to make good on my extra 20 bucks.. hmmm
 
Did you buy it brand new? That's probably the reason there.. it's not weaker now, it's just that it was stiff before. A brand new wheel needs to be broken in a bit before it finally settles in. I bought mine refurbished (i.e. used), so it's already broken in nicely.

I'm not sure if it's possible for it to actually become weaker, really... electronics typically don't have a gray area.. they either work or they don't.
