I read in one of these threads that the diablo and 911 was taken out of the greatest hits version of gt-3. i dont understand this. were these cars available in the version that is not greatest hits. or u need a gameshark to get teh diablo and 911?? in confusion please help.:confused:
 
The Diablo and 911 are among the hidden cars on the NTSC disc. U need a cheat device of some kind to get them. I have no personal knowlege as to whether or not they were removed from the greatest hits disc.
 
do to name rights and other things, the basic overall car of the Diablo was removed, but the body is still partly in the data. Now with the help of MK's and GameShark/ActionReplay/CodeBreaker we have been able to access the diablo. Now from my understandings on the 911, its was actualy and expeirmental car... Can you get it? YES, but i have found no way aside from the codes of GS/AR/CB.
 
OMG....so I'll need a gameshark to unlock the diablo and the 911?!

911...isn't that in the game as one of the RUFs? bah, I'm not sure....
 
RUF could be called Porches cheap version. Yest one of the RUFs uses the the 911 body. As for unlocking, it really isnt, but yes you will need a game shark, or an X-port
 
"Cheap" in this case meaning "twice the price".

And it's "Ruf" - pronounced "Roof", after the founder, Alois Ruf.

AND it's not the same thing as a Porsche 996 911 - it is in fact at least a 70% different car. If you buy one the vehicle registration document will say "Ruf RGT" on it, not "Porsche".


Now in answer to the question, it's certainly possible that the 996 911 GT3, as well as the Lamborghini Nomad Diablo JGTC and the pair of Lancia Stratoses (one road, one rally) were removed from the "Greatest Hits" version of the game, but I don't think so.

I was about to mention something when I saw the "cheap porsche" comment, since I know a stock ruf package uses a real porsche and then builds off of it with better parts.

Second... I wanted to mention the diablo.

It is a full car in the game.

The body, chassis, engine, lsd, and every other damn part :D are all individual to the nomad.

It is indeed a full car. All you need to do to get one is select "change car" in the mks program, then it's a full diablo. No need to use other cars parts or anything like that.

btw, it's V-12 with 621 hp standard.
 
currently all i have to say is, i have the 911, and two Rufs (thanks for the correction on the name, my friend had been calling it rough) im preatty happy...

:D Don't "check in" here as often as I should, so just found your query.

NO the Diablo, 911, "Strati", another Skyline, a Miata w/Hardtop, a Miata w/Rollbar & a bunch of other "Hidden Cars" were NOT left out of the "Greatest Hits" version. They're all there including a "Sample Car" that WILL lockup your Ps2. :eek: (Though I can't remember which one it is.) 👍 UB57

:D The PS2 will "Freeze" & you'll have to "Re-Boot." My advice: "Leave the Sample Cars alone." They're nothing special anyway...UB57

Actually, 001 is the only sample car with adjustable suspension, brakes, etc. all the other sample cars have the wrong wheel base , use a 304 HP rotary engine and "stock" nonadjustable parts.(010 has an F1 body, so wheel base doesn't really matter.)
