I would still like to run the Diablo against the F1 cars. Can you send me info(pm) on what to change in the ini file so that I can try this. You can only use race cars and the game won't let the Diablo in.

Really !?!? :confused:
:D Maybe because we're not supposed to even have it? Will do some research & get back to you...UB57 :D

I'm looking at both ini files that you sent me and I think I know what needs to be changed.
These are the values that need adjustment.
BaseType=diablo_gt_00
BaseName=DIABLO JGTC(J)
0=991661407
4=489046273

I'm going to use the F094/s numbers later tonight and see what happens.
I think I'm done with my race BTW. My MOV stayed about the same but I lowered my time by 6 seconds and that was after 4 tries and at 26/27 minutes per atempt, it adds up to a lot of time.

Try this: courtesy of Famine's Hybrid site:

Road to Race
Each car in the game is set to either "Road", "Race" or "Dirt" - although some of these are actually pretty screwed up (the Altezza LM Race Car is labelled "Road" and the Tommy kaira ZZII is labelled "Race").
This doesn't have much bearing on the game as a whole, but some competitions are limited to one or the other only - for instance the Trial Mountain endurance race, Polyphony Digital Cup (both Road only) and GT Formula Championship (Race only). Yet again, mk's to the rescue!
Opening up your garage in mk's, you'll see the third row is "Car Type" - this contains the relevant information. You need to hit the F8 key to turn this all into gibberish. Or Hexadecimal as certain members of the populous likt to refer to it.
You'll notice that Road cars are listed as "00000000 00000000", Race cars as "00000001 00000000" and Dirt cars as "00000002 00000000". All you need to do is go in to that box, change the number to the relevant one and you're done. I find it helps to hit the "Enter" key when you're done editing and move to a different box. The press "F8" three more times to cycle through a series of bizarre codes and back to "Road", "Race" or "Dirt" - just to check it's worked.

I got it to work against the F1 cars. Thanks for great tip Bob! Now I just have to work up the nerve to try and run against them.

Kool: 👍
:D I've beaten the F-1 exactly ONCE w/R390 Racer at Tokyo Rte 246. Kinda lost interest in dueling w/them after I found out that it's HIGHLY Improbable I'll EVER be able to beat them w/ZZII!:odd:
BTW: Have put Four Hours+ in behind the wheel today testing for Week #6! :eek: Sure hope we get a better turn out than last week.:confused: ...UB57 :D

The Diablo is no match for those F1 cars.:( They have too much grip and even with power upgrades it is not worth the time.

Well my friends, this has been an experience I have greatly enjoyed, but like all other elements of life, it must come to an end.

I formally with-draw from the competition.

Being that I used the last 4 races to prove to myself what I wasn't sure of, I can now leave the race without regret or dissappointment. My concerns have grown steadily throughout the series ever since race 1 ended, and now I have decided my reasons for leaving are more important than my reasons for staying.

To each of you, I commend you on a job well done.

To UB57,
You have created one hell of a series. This was the exact thing I had been looking for ever since I got my sharkport but had no where to run the diablo. I thank you for your effort and dedication to the racers and the series.

To SlowPoke,
I thank you for being an excellent running partner. You managed to push my races by just turning in great times. Your setups helped to remind me of what a value, the often times un-used, LSD could be. I also want to thank you for being curtious in your participation, always the first to post a setup for the struggling racer and always the last to talk crap, you are a value to the board, and thanks for running with us.

To Der Alta,
Your the man! Flat out. As always, I am indebted to you and will continue to race as your friend and rival.

To all other racers
I have enjoyed the competition, and from now on will have a close eye on each of you throughout the future of our OLR interactions.

Once again, I wish to thank UB for his/your work and dedication to the series. I also want to express my respect for each of you... just running in this comp was a great experience and I am glad to have had it with you all.:cheers:

Please enjoy the remainder of the series. I look forward to racing with you all again some day. Until then...

Sincerly,
Kent :sly:

GoKents, sorry to see you leaving us, but those things happen. Best o' luck in your future OLR, and I hope to see you on the track again, soon!:cool:

Now back to the Diablo. I've run the race prolly 20 times now, and cannot improve upon my overall time from about the 5th race. Talk about a lesson in futility!!:lol: I need to reveiw the replay for splits and lap times, will send in everything tomorrow night.

Good luck doods and doodettes:D

I too am done with this race. I'll send the info in the morning.

Race #6 is ready to go. I hope you'll all appreciate the new "Format" & I'm SURE this Final Race will "Separate the Men from the Boys." :eek: :odd: :eek: ...UB57 :D

I'll be in with the boys.
I ran this a few times and for kicks and giggles I ran with the plan of pitting on 16,17, 18, and 19.
I had gotten a good margin by that point, but not near winning. I would have been nearly a full lap down at the end.:lol:
