Final Episode
"El Diablo en el Valle Grande II"

Race #6:
Endurance Race / Grand Valley 300 km (60 Laps)

Tire Specs: T2s ONLY!
Pit Stop(s): Three Stops are MANDATORY & One MUST be taken on Lap #15!!!
Denso Sard Supra, Raybrig NSX & ARTA Nsx MUST be in the Field ( For even More FUN load the "AI" that has all three NSXs!)
NO Pit Sops on Lap #60 Allowed !

Results due at 18:00 (That's 6:00 PM) CST / 27 December 03


This Final Challenge features MUCH BETTER "AI" driving again. I've run this "Sucker" over 250 Laps already :banghead: tryin' to find us a better race. Hope major adjustments in HP work out better than adding Pit Stops to keep us "In Traffic" Just like last week, Have FUN & stay outta the "Sand Traps" ...UB57 :D

PS: A "PM" has been sent to all remaining competitors containing "Special Adjustments" for this Race only!

I have a wheel, but I've never been able to drive with it.
It's a Naki, with paddle shifters. Since I'm an automatic guy I use the paddles for brake and gas.
I've had the thing a year, and I've actually had it set up, and driven well with it one time.
 
Bob: I seriously doubt my ability to fit an Enduro in my schedule, but I'll try. It will likely be a late entry though.

Considering my real game save, which is saved right before the Monaco GP with that the last thing to complete for 100% of my first game through, has been sitting since before Thanksgiving...

I was looking at the current issue of "CAR" magazine today after therapy. I saw this. WOW!!

:D MOV ONLY+55.146!!! I'm absolutely THRILLED! 👍 My personal goal is to be 1 second/Minute slower than you & "Pokey." Since I won the final test by less then 2 seconds I figured you guys would put a whole lap on the field!
When I tested w/8 More HP I won by about 30 seconds & w/7 Less HP I was beaten by about the same amount. How was "Traffic" & how many Pit Stops did you end up making???...UB57:D
 
I think it accomplished your goal. I stayed with the AI for the first lap, even took the lead for a bit but their tires warmed up faster than mine and It was catch-up for the next 8 or 9 laps. I took the overall lead from the Arta on lap 11 and lost it again after my pit stop then went ahead on lap 18 I think and never lost it again.

As for pit stops well I used the minimum.

If I have time to run this again, I'll be more aggressive at the start. It was hard to not save the 400,000 credits but I wanted 0 miles more.
 
Any "bonus" points for lapping an AI?

Any "bonus" points for lapping the field?

OK...First attack done on this one, and I'm a bit stuck. Figuring my usual "behind GT3mich" margin, I'm right about where I usually am. 1.5*60 = 90 seconds. OR 1'30. So I should have lost by 35 seconds. Well, I didn't. I lost by 1'39+. With a solid lock on 4th place. My settings are what came with the car. Can anyone point me in a direction that I can take them? The settings feel good, (other than the gearing be a bit short for my tastes). I'm just waaay slower than the AI. I'm turning 366 Hp at the moment.

Can I convince someone to let me chase a replay?

I also ran in Fourth for most of the race. I also finished solidly in fourth.
I ran 1'43 back from first. So over 60 laps, I basically stayed with Alex.

So did the replays help Der Alta? I'm thinking about rolling the Diablo out of the garage tonight. Lapping the field sounds like fun.:lol:
 
I've managed to get them all lo0aded, but haven't mustered the time to take a look at them.

Hopefully that'll be tomorrow evening. Have to get a few things done around the house tonight.

Belated "Seasons Greetings" :cheers: to all you Diablo Series Stalwarts!

:D Just ran the ENDURO for the third & most likely "Final" time w/the Low HP/DF Combo & it's plain to see I should have removed even more HP. Took 14 seconds off my most recent attempt & 20 seconds off the first attempt. While not in GT3mich's range, I'm still quite happy with a 19.516 lead at the end!

Just over 44 hours 'till Deadline!...UB57 :D

I have it on good authority that Der Alta is taking 2 more shots at this race Today. I feel sorry for his right thumb!!! :eek: :eek: :eek:...UB57 :D
 
I justed PM'd all the impo'tant stuff from race 6 to ya Ubee. Thanks for a great series, I really enjoyed it!:cheers:

I only ran the race twice, but think I could have taken some seconds off. Certainly not minutes tho. Fast lap was 1:52.941:)
 
Well, time is in. I shaved nearly a full minute off my previous time. Hmmm.... Wonder why that happened ;) Thanks guys.

Yes, my I've done some damage to my thumb. Back a few months ago, UB and I ran a slew of Tokyo Enduro's against each other. That was the initial strain. Recently I pinched the same thumb tween two very heavy objects in motion. More strain. Today added to it.

And with tomorrow's instant races coming up, it's likely to have a bit more strain added.
