Ok,here is the story (funny one too):

A friendo f mine came over to my house today to play some GT4 as we both are addicted to it.He brought his memory card over and we were going to race and he was getting all cocky saying "Oh man my TVR can beat anything you have" "It has so much horsepower it twists the frame" and all of this junk.So I just calmly tell him horsepower is nothing if you can't handle it.He keeps saying he can so I am like "O.K,lets go".We get to the selection screen,Aids are off and we are both using sports tires. He picks his supposedly almighty fully tuned Chameleon Pearlescent TVR Cerbera Twelve Speed.I go to my garage and pick the almighty,stock,15 Horsepower Diahatsu Midget. He is just staring at me like "WTF?".He keeps saying that he hopesi m kidding and of course im not,so we race.First we run 3 laps at Le Sarthe I.On the first lap I am already beating him and he is struggling to get his car some traction. He starts to catch up somewhat on the second lap but I hold my slow lead.I am sitting here watching a car with at least 50x the horsepower I have struggle to catch up to me.He is spinning out, losing control and going everywhere.I finally finished the race with a decent margin of time between us.His excuse for losing:I let you win.I am just thinking to myself "O.K".Next race is Laguna Seca.Same cars, same tires,3 laps.I beat him again with a large margin. His excuse "It was my controller".We finally finish it at the Nurburgring.2 Laps, same tires, same cars.I win again. This time,he had no excuse. He was staring at the "FINISH" text in awe.He couldn't believe his Torque monster of a car got beat by a 15 Horsepower Diahatsu Midget.Saying few words,he got up,took his memory card and left my house with nothing more than a "Goodbye".I havent talked to him since.

This kid is an average joe driver.None too professional, nor is he a beginner.

Moral of the story:Power amounts to nothing when you have nothing to contain it with.

I think he must suck unimaginably to get beat by an original Midgit at La Sarthe. He'd be past your top speed in second gear, and that course is mostly straights.

He isnt the greatest as I said, but the Speed 12 is an overpowered car and is hell to handle with no aids plus sports medium tires.

I agree with Emohawk and I don't believe your story either. What times did you do in the Midget?

edit: Just done a 4'21.901 with the Speed 12 (Sport medium tyres, totally standard settings, no aids) at Le Mans 1 and that was on a very untidy lap. I understeered off at the first corner (wasn't expecting it to plough on so much) and also had a half spin. I'd consider myself a decent driver, but certainly nowhere near the best.

I intended to do a lap in the Midget, but it's too slow, so I've sent my B Spec driver out for a spin. So far the clock's at about 7 minutes and he's about half way around the lap

In summary: You're lying :)

If this was intended as a joke, it wasn't funny

edit2: B Spec just completed the lap in 9 minutes, 56 seconds

edit3: Heh, just looked at your profile and I notice you're only 12. Apologies.

edit4: Just out of curiosity I did a lap of the ring in the Speed 12...7'47.780. Again, not a great lap. I make that an average speed of slightly under 100mph. The Midget has a top speed of about 55-56mph.

No,you don't understand. This kid couldn't control his car.At all.He is a decent driver. But he couldn't keep control of this thing. At all.He was constantly in sandtraps and was probably off the track more than on.I have no clue what times I ran in the Midget because I didn't save them (shut my PS2 off when he got up to leave). All I know is,he couldn't control his car.Period.He's a decent driver with pretty much every other car,but he just couldn't keep this thing on the road at all.

And how does me being 12 effect my story?Enlighten me.Are you saying that it proves I am a liar?If so,you're being very ignorant.Or are you implying that my friend had crap skills because he is my age?I would really like to hear your answer to this.

He obviously isn't a decent driver. I went out and did a lap with an average speed approximately double the top speed of the midget at the Nurburgring. So, either you're lying or he's a terrible, terrible driver.

The reason I apologised to you because I saw you were twelve was mainly because I thought your friend must have been 12 also and young people are usually quite bad at racing games. Also, knowing that a lot of young people tell lies (my mum used to be a teacher ;) ), I tend to doubt the veracity of what they say. Prove me wrong...

I'm not going to post the lap times I got, because amp88 made them look really crappy :p. The Speed 12 finished the race before the Midget got to the end of Mulsanne though.
I can't see how anyone who had the vaugest idea what they were doing could manage to double the time I got with the Speed 12.

amp88,what I am trying to say is,he is a good driver, just apparently not with this car. That was what this whole topic was about.I never said he was the greatest driver with every car.He is decent, but apparently not with his Speed Twelve. And I don't think his setup helped any either.
