Ok. I've been working with the Subaru Impreza WRX STi 02 for a drift set up. So far this is what i've got for a set up. I'm just looking for suggetsions, and for anyone to help fine tune these settings for public use. I'm unable to sustain inertia drifts with this setup, only ebrake drifts.

Upgrades: ~528hp
Racing Exhaust
Racing Chip
Nitrous -50
Original Turbo kit
Racing I/C
Racing Brakes
Brake Controller
Racing Suspension
Full Transmission
Triple Clutch
Racing Flywheel
Carbon Driveshaft
Full LSD
VCD

Settings:
Brakes : 24/24
Suspension:
Spring rate 13.5/12
Height 100/100
bound 7/7
Rebound 7/7
Camber 3/0
Toe -1/2
Stabilizers 1/1

NO driving aids. all zero'd

Weight balance: Ballast 80
Front Rear balance 30

VCD: 35

LSD: initial 20/20
accel 40/40
decel 40/40

Any suggestions to help make this a little more "loose" in the rear or better drifts would be great. Feel free to use my settings to tweak. Thanks

you could add some ballast to the rear if nothing else is working.

I just have parts and no settings but just the ASM understeer is at 20 and my Sto hP is at 430

I believe i've found the ideal settings...prolly just for me but i'd like it if others tried it out then i could post it to the settings depot.

Anything that changed i put in bold. Feel free to try these out and make comments. right now i'm happy. Thanks for all who gave input for these.

Take off ALL the understeer/oversteer driving aids! All of them! Sure it is hard to drift with them at first but it will help you out a lot in the long run. I think someone mentioned something like "Drifting with ASM understeer enabled is like riding a bike with training wheels."

Other then that I would just put on some N1's and practice. AWD drifts, atleast for me, were hard to learn but a blast when you got the hang of it.

nitroboy, did you read my settings? Like the part that says NO driving aids...all zero'd. i dont drive with aids

thanks for the suggestions though

The settings you put are more meant for grip racing, but 3 chamber in front, 1 chamber in back, put the rear springs and stabilizers to a rather high number and the front to rather low, both front and rear tires should be N2, perfect combination of drift/grip, and make your VCD controller to 0-20. All driving help should be off. If you can't drift with thsoe settings your car isn't meant for drifting.

Thanks RockyZ for the suggestion. I tried them out and didnt really like it but thanks anyways. Maybe it will be useful to somoene elses style

hmm...i dunno about the 02' Impreza...i've been drifting my 99' GC8 ver.VI Impreza for such a friggin' long time, lol, probably like...4 years now (and NO i don't mean GT4 only, i used the same settings on GT3^__^)
anyways i think the GC8 VI settings'll do ok with your GDB:

Settings:
Brakes : 24/12
Suspension:
Spring rate: i forgot what my GC8 had...sorry, lol
Height: lowest possible?
bound 9/9
Rebound 7/7
Camber 2.0/1.0
Toe 0/1.0
Stabilizers 4/3

NO TCS OR ASM PLEASE

umm...i think you better get rid of those ballast weights thingys, i haven't used em' yet and i drift fine...besides i dunno what they're for ^__^

LSD: initial 20/20
accel 40/20
decel 40/20

and Oo ya your gonna want your Variable Control Diff. set to 10%
