Are you kidding?
Good day, GTPlanet.

A few months ago, I experienced problems playing GTA on my PC. The controls were ridiculously slow (2 minutes after I pressed the key, the action happened). So I exited and restarted. The same problem occured.

I tried another game (trackmania) and had the same problem.

So, when I try to either run or uninstall, I instead get the following error message.

So I can't uninstall or run, but it's stuck on my PC taking up space.
I suspect a Video Card issue, but anyone have any ideas?

Download the latest available video driver, uninstall the current one, then run the new one. If you already have the latest version, download it again anyways and uninstall/install. I was having some problems playing CS:Source a few days ago and doing this straightened everything up.

But after reading your second problem, I have no idea what it could be. A video card issue shouldn't make that happen. Have you tried Add/Remove Programs?

Yeah, that's where I also get the same error message.

Can't uninstall.

Also tried in safe mode to no avail.

Those guys know nothing, and they snoop around way too much. (Geek squad that is)

This problem does stem from the Video drivers, to some degree. Some game engines are not particularly found of Direct3D, such as the orginal Half-Life. Check to see what is being used for rendering, OpenGL or Direct3D, and switch it to the one that is not being used.

About uninstalling stuff, try booting into an admin user level. Or use the My Computer properties, hardware, device manager, find the video card, and remove it by force there. Or update the drivers there.

Only suggestions I have at the moment.
