Before I update to 2.05 I'm asking the question to weigh up the danger of corrupting the whole game. I might even wait until the inevitable patch for a patch for a patch comes :)

I'll close this thread as soon I feel my question has been answered.

Worked perfectly for me, because I woke up really late and downloaded the patch after PD had already sorted the corruption issues. :D

still suffer from room crashing when changing track
 
I haven't had any problems since I installed it yesterday morning. It took me two minutes to download.

I played my first two online races, and didn't noticed anything unusual other than cars skipping and doing strange movements. But I figured that is normal. As for loading times and freezing, I have to say that everything runs smooth even though I haven't done the full game install.
 
Wouldn't install in the morning, but did later in the day. All ok. (UK)
