Did they change how the invitation ticket works?

Wasn't it like when you've acquired an invitation car, if you have it in the garage, you don't need an invite to buy the same car again?

I could never get the Porsche ticket, so I tried to put all the other invitation cars on wishlist, thinking if the Dev wants to mess with us, might as well do the opposite, since I couldn't get any Porsche invite when I leave it on the wishlist forever. Then I found found that I couldn't buy any invitation cars I already own without invitation.

Nope. You've always needed an active Invitation in order to buy the Invitation-only cars.
 
Is it possible to receive brand invites without picking them at the roulette?
A few days ago I found out the violet sign of invitation close to the brand central signpost in the homescreen, but without any advice about the reason why it appeared, nor winning it from a ticket. Did you already experienced this?

If you're over Collector Level 50, you'll receive permanent Invitations for the brands gradually as you pass higher levels.

That can happen early game while you are going through the Menu system. This one popped up after reaching Collector Level 9. I don't know if it was the collector level or finishing the menu book that triggered it, or if they are just random. I think you get 2 automatic invites while going through the menu systems, but not 100% sure, I've always at least got one when playing through for sure.

Thanks @Aedum, I suppose that’s the case. I received it when I was Collector Level 9 or 10, so probably it is not related to finishing a specific Café menu.
