I was hoping to see a bit more class participation in the light displays. Stop being such stains and put up shots. Here are some good shots from tonight.

Wow! I've never seen a decorated car.

We can't afford heaps of lights but we went to Curramulka last night after cricket and the best one was lights up and down the yard, there was also a world map lit up in lights aswell. Not quite as good as the ones in here.

I like the house with the roof covered in lights. I'll get a photo of our sometime. :)

EDIT: Man UNOMoto, that looks like a theme park at nght time!

[LIE]I don't like light displays, I much rather preserve electricity so I just have a low energy light bulb on a stick outside my house.[/LIE]

It would be nice to see anything from someone else.:indiff:

You must be referring to the miniature golf course that is completely lit up. It is a very good display.

Okay, i'll take a photo tonight. :)

We live on a farm though, so there's no houses around us and we have to travel into town to see others. :(

Okay, here's my pathetic house...

You can hardly see the bottom lights.

Well...it's a good first try. It can be hard to take night shots with out a tripod or some sort or a steady shot camera.

Thanks for posting it up. 👍

Stupid digital camera, got sand in it :grumpy: There's some pretty good ones on my road, if I ever get it working I'll post em up!

Yeah, i had it in fireworks mode. :D Another hard part was capturing it at the right time, when all the lights were on as they were both flashing.

By the way, the top row's a nice set of rope lights, and the bottom one is normal lights. We might be putting more up, i'll post em if we do. :)

This is hands down the best house I have ever seen in person. I obviously couldn't get just a picture of it so I took some video to really let you see the show.

It's also my first video to post up so I hope imageshack doesn't crap out on me.

Click and be amazed

Thanks Serge...Looks like there is a "Little" Holiday spirit over there.

I think one at Curramulka was better than that, sorry i couldn't get a pic. :guilty: We didn't end up going to Moonta though. :(

Ugh... I feel like I've just seen another "Sprint speed" commercial.

Anyway, great lights! I like the Star Trek and Fire engine the best! 👍

Hey, we did go to Curramulka again the other night, and i got some pics on my phone. Some of them aren't very good as they were only phone quality and i was in a moving vehicle...

Anyway, i just picked out some good ones...

This one was not at Curry, but my Auntie's house:

Expensive much?! but that looks lovely. Like the variation in colors. Hate houses that only have like one color on especially white

You think that's bad? Remind me next year to get a picture of a guy in Rowlett County who only uses neon Christmas lights and nothing else. :scared:

Took a trip to see the ZOO lights last night. I also dropped by the city building for some nice shots.

color gels are the most festive thing ever invented.

We have a ZOO lights in Seattle that we go to from time to time. Those are really cool.

And the arches on Seahawk Stadium are lit up in green and red. Does that count?

If you had a picture of it...yes.

I had such high hopes for this thread. :indiff: The participation was below average.

Nobody really did anything for christmas over here. Even the malls and everything were dead. I think it's because of how hard the dollar's tanked and how people are struggling to pay the mortgage on their house, let alone decorate it.

That's too bad if it's going down that way. It really is hard to find a street near me that doesn't have some kind of lights up. Some neighborhoods actually had contests for the best decorated.

Yeah, the real estate bubble burst down here. I mean, there were still some houses that decorated, but nothing really significant. Maybe only 1 or 2 that were pic-worthy.

Our bubble hasn't burst yet but it is slightly deflated. I don't think my house currently is worth what I paid for it but i'd guess it is 5 to 10g less. It will all bounce back eventually so I'm not worried. I at the least would keep this house for 10 years or until our kids are out on their own.

I do get worried during the holiday season when people use too much plastic to pay for gifts and such. The stores are always crowded but if they are all buying it on credit I don't think it's good for the economy. Unless you own stock in Visa. :dopey:

We have a christmas savings plan with our bank that puts money away each month into a different account and returns it to us in a lump sum in early December. That let's us have a very Merry Christmas with out the credit card hangover in January.

We had that in Maitland. Also you only get good lights because you live in the city. I live3 on a farm. :(
