Difference in using a cockpit

Hey guys, I'm just wondering. does using a cockpit help in performing better lap times or there isn't any difference between using 1 and not using 1??

I just got a playseat evolution and it is way better than my previous setup of a low lawn chair and old coffee table!

Getting used to left foot braking but I am making steady lap times and see room for improvement.

I made my own cockpit, it's displayed somewhere on here. I would say it works on a scale, the better the cockpit, the better you will perform. Mine has a little movement in it (side to side). I imagine the professional builds will be very tight and more ergonomically designed allowing the user to concentrate more on the driving aspects. Mine pulls up to my big coach and allows for easy reach of the beers. Go with what you can afford and enjoy it.

Lets just say it enhances the experience. The rest is entirely up to your driving skills. At least if you can't improve on it you feel like you got there in style.

I agree and I will add that using a cockpit cuts down on body fatigue

I originally started out with a Playseat Evo and once you get used to using a steering wheel and pedals then you do start to improve your times and have more precise control over what's going on. I eventually shifted to a VR3 together with a Fanatec Turbo S wheel and now that's taken the experience to a different level again!
Alright, a cockpit ain't the cheapest (Unless you build your own) but if you have the space and money you should seriously consider going for it!! (You only live once!) 👍

For me it enhances the driving experience. It just makes it more....real.
