different classes of cars

I'm new to Gran Turismo and know very little about cars. I'm really enjoying this game and feel I'm getting better. I read these forums from time to time and I see people categorize cars (example: C cars). Can somebody list the type of cars in GT5 and what makes them that kind of car (example: what makes a rally car a rally car). Sorry if I sound like a noob. If you could list them in order from most powerful to weakest. Thank you in advance.

First, you'll want to improve your posts with proper grammar. That means capitals, spaces, and punctuation all where they should be. It's our way of keeping the board as easy to read for our vast world-wide community :).

Second, you may want to check Famine's Complete Car Database, in the stickied thread at the top of this sub-forum. It will break down most cars into a few categories, and while not going to the lengths of specifying different classes of race cars (DTM, SuperGT, ALMS, Group C, etc), you will get a feel for which cars compete against which as you play the game more, and notice their performance stats.

ty for the response.ill check it out.as for my grammar, if there is anyone who cant understand what i have posted, they shouldnt be on these forums.they should go back to school.:)
 
mikeygaga it is for those who English is a 2nd language and as such do not comprehend slang so well.But would still like to learn or contribute to others via GT Planets forums. No harm in taking 2 minutes longer to construct your post so all can enjoy reading it instead of having to try and decypher it.
How about if someone replied to your post in abbreviations you did not know ? that are game related you would be of the same disadvantage as those who speak English as a 2nd language.I don't mean to come across as nagging at you just trying to explain why it is easier to use complete English terms.It is not down to ones IQ or inability to learn.

read my post again and please correct it so people who do not speak or read english will understand it.i'm not being sarcastic.i just want to see where you are coming from.please correct my grammar and i could see what you mean.thank you in advance.
 
Yeah, welcome to GTPlanet, most of us just have it in best interest for proper grammar. You can't correct everyone, but it makes the Forums one of the most organized on the Web.
 
I did not correct your grammar the site moderator did, i was merely trying to explain why correct grammar is required , no offence intended. Personally i don't have issues with slang but i can understand for some people it can create problems and also for the person listing the request as maybe someone with English as a 2nd language has the answer but does not fully understand the question and as such does not answer the post..
 
Has it been fixed already? I just read it and it looks fine to me. You have to be careful around here. I spelled Camaro with an "e" once and two people needed to point it out.

I just learned that Forums and Web are supposed to be typed in uppercase letters.I'm a slow learner but i'll catch on soon.
