Different tuners?

This thread has probily been done already but ive search and couldnt find anything. So have mercy on this noob.

Does 1 tuner have better upgrades than the other?

Ive tested this out but couldnt find any diffrence but the sound is makes on the car. For example, i have 2 Rx7 type-R 91' , one red and the other yellow.
On the red one i use HKS for the exhust and engine upgrades and thats it.The yellow one uses Blizt exhust and engine upgrades and nothing else. The only difference i found was the sound. The red rx7 sounded alot louder than the yellow rx7.

My question is why is there more than 1 tuners in the game?
 
All tuners are the same... if you have an RX-7 and tune it up at HKS (for example) it makes no difference than if you tune it at Re-Amemiya or at Mazdaspeed, except for the "original" parts like turbo and suspension.

then why are more there more than 1 tuners in the game?
 
Mainly for the tuner car's, like Diego said, the tuner's do offer original suspension and original turbo's to some car's but the original kit's are the same in all the tuner's.
 
No difference, besides the fact that you can brag like "I have HKS!"

"My Blitz 350Z can beat your Trial 350Z!!!"

Of course, the key to quick times is a good driver.:)
 
I heard from someone else that some tuner's turbo kit differ from others...i.e:Tom's original turbokit on a supra will generate more torque than the one you can get at TRD. I'd have to try it myself but i'm out of time :grumpy:

That would be because there IS a difference. TRD(Tune Shop for Toyota) only offers Stage 4 Turbo Kit with turbo lag, no low-end torque, etc. Original Turbo Kits come from TUNERS and are really a Stage 5 Turbo that reduce lag, along with good low-end torque. However, in some cars, such as the 350Z, you'll find an NA Stage 3 gives better overall torque(better flow;consistent).
 
No no no no!!!! i'm sorry I meant that the original turbo kits from Tom's gives out more torque than the ones from other tuners, not TRD (Toyota Racing Development) ones.
