Different tuning approaches for gt4

Ok its my first post so i hope i dont get flamed or something.

But i wish gt4 had tubro, na, and sc tuning. And incorporate the different advantages and the disadvantages of each tuning setup.

for example: for a "real driving simulator" i wish tehre was tubro lag. Some ppl might not like it (most ppl wont) but i think it'll add a real driving feeling to the driving.

na tune up should raise the redline so more power can be produced.

also a boost controller to control ur psi for the turbo and sc.

Just my thoughts on gt4

Uh... have you even played GT3? There ARE turbos, NA, and superchargers. And yes, there is turbo lag, you just have to look for it to notice it...

whoa leave the guy alone. yeah there is turbo lag but you cant buy a supercharger anywhere in the game. It comes on what 3 or so cars. He is right you should be able to buy a supercharger and be able to tune it and the turbo.

HAh, he's right there are 3 Superchargers in the game, 1 on the Kompressor and 2 on the V8 Vantage (Twin Supercharged) I just felt the need to say that, continue with the debate

well the tubro lag barely lasts. i want to feel the actual turbo boost come. wen i see the turbo boost kick in. wen i watch the turbo gauge it auto. goes to full boost. and w/ a boost controller included u could changed the amount of boost changing the amount of lag u get. i just want more realism..and the SC is only for like 3 and its standard

and i dont like the idea of how a car is designated for n/a or tubro tuning. in real life any car can be turboed or tuned up, its just a matter of money and time.

anyways i knew i would get flamed some way or another. thx for telling me anyways :D

From what I've seen elsewhere, you were not flamed.

Welcome to GTPlanet

welcome to my forum d00d :)

ya want lag that really shows? just use the escudo :)

welcome the GTPlanet intoxicatedpete

dont worry about the flamers
i agree with what you said

i think it would be good if you over tune your engine you can damage your engine or if you by a masive turbo but not the proper electronics and strenghting you will get lots of power but reliability will suffer and damage your engine till the point were it wont work and engine rebuilding could be added along with oil change and wheels. i also think you should have option to buy different engines for a car from the tunning company. adjutible boost gauge during races would be good to if your turn it up to much you can damage and blow up your engine. and if fuel pitstops were added the higher your boost the more fuel you use so more pit stops or turn the boost down for economy to save fuel during race it would add a strateg eliment to a race along with tyres. I also think parts of the car should need replasing or reparing when worn out as part of the service area. Along with oil change dont change your oil damage to the engine.

James1985 that would for sure be an interesting simulation feature.
However should then the game give guide lines to what should be done and what should not be done to your car? As how many here are car mechanics?
Cheers

they could provide a breif maual on the basics of tunning and what needs doing when you do some thing else

Ye I would hope they provide a very accurate one, the Microsoft Flight Simulator has quite accurate information on the CD for people to print and read.

However that is a part of destroyable cars. The Director of the GT4 was quote in a French magazine that they had to “choose either more cars or accurate physics in damage of the cars”

The PS2 would have to now not only do what it already does on GT 3 but also do some heavy engineering, mechanical and physics calculations to have accurate damage (external and internal)...

As GT stands for whatever it incorporates to be accurate.

Cheers

PS
James did you check the PM I sent you?

i supose we have to wait till the play sation 3 but no i am not who you think sory. i only just got back in thats why i did not check it.

I forgot a formula that would aslo have to be calculated, it is not needed to calculate it during races but for sure after. It is the legal system. What do I mean by that?

Well I mean who is responsible for the accident, and if the insurance will cover it.
Cheers
