So I was browsing parts of the forum when I came across this section. I thought Grand Prix Legends sounded familiar, so I hunted around and sure enough it was a game my Dad bought me for our very first computer about 10 years ago!
I remember it never worked because our computer had a terrible graphics card, but I'm gonna install it and see just how good it is now :)

By the way, does anyone know if it works with a DFGT wheel?

Thanks,

Shiv :)

Should work fine. I use a G25 with it.

You should use the "all-in-one installer" (http://gplps.org/wb/pages/projects/gpl-installer.php). It will update the graphics and download the latest patches for faster machines.

Then check out srmz.net, http://gpltd.bcsims.com/. Links at those sights will give you access to a few hundred tracks and the new mods ('65 F1, '66 F1, '69 F1, '67 F2, '67 sportscars etc.)

Finally, check out this youtube video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vy_FABpG0lw/). It's the first in a cool series of youtube videos about GPL.

And, have fun. It's still a great and entertaining sim. Feel free to ask if you have any questions about it.

Should I download that patch for the demo? and how can mods be installed to the demo? Thanks in advance. 👍

I'm actually not too sure. I have had the disk for quite awhile, so never tried the demo. I believe the 2004 demo is already patched, and you should be able to use the mods, but you won't be able to use any of the original tracks on the disk. You can get a game disk for very cheap (under $15). There are usually a few floating around on ebay.

srmz.net should have better/more information about using the demo.
