I've been playing GT for years, as well as other racing franchises, with the D-Pad. Recently Ferrari Challenge and Supercar Challenge have implemented digital controls as perfect as I think they could be. The sensitivity of when using X as accelerate is nigh-on perfect and there also seems to be a good range in regard to steering too because I seem to find it easy to moderate turn-in lock.
GT, even GT5P, has never really caused me to much bother when using the D-Pad...until now. The new physics engine generally shows why games like this need to be played with a steering wheel. Even Kaz traditionally used the D-Pad to play his games until now.
HOWEVER, for people who still prefer using digital inputs why can't accelerate be a little more sensitive like Ferrari/Supercar Challenge and the digital directional inputs be sensitive (at the moment they default to full lock depending on speed)? This would be so much better.
Yes, I know, why not use a steering wheel? I do own a DFP but don't like using a steering wheel generally so it's been locked away for a few years.
Just wish that accelerate was a little more sensitive and the D-Pad made use of it's sensitivity feature.
