Dino Toso Dies Aged 39

Former Renault aerodynamicist Dino Toso has died at the age of 39 after a long battle with cancer.

Having formerly worked for the Jordan Formula One team, the Italian joined Renault in 2000 and was promoted to the position of director of aerodynamics in 2003.

Toso's tenure therefore conincided with Renault's back-to-back World Championship successes in 2005 and 2006.

He left the team in June and passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday morning.

A Renault statement read: "His contribution to the team, both through his results and his courage in the face of illness, are an inspiration.

"He will be missed enormously and the immediate thoughts of the whole team are with his family."

Sad news and he was only 39. It seemed he had done alot for that team.

My sympathies to his family. We cannot say he lived a full life, but we can say he accomplished as such.
