Direct X 11 question.

So right now I play Crysis 2 with my GTX550Ti on 'very high' settings with high res textures on. I was thinking about downloading the DX11 pack as now I'm playing in DX9.

I'm getting around 35-50 fps now, so, how much of a performance hit will I take if I upgrade to DX11 and will it look noticeably better?
 
What is your O/S?

XP can not have DX10 or DX11.
 
Windows 7 comes with DX11.
 
Yeah I know but Crysis 2 was ported from consoles, so in order to play it in DX11 you have to download a patch, by default it will play in DX9.
 
The patch can be downloaded from the makers of crysis II on their site.
 
Thing is, my internet is horrendously slow, so it will take like an hour to download the patch and I really can't be bothered to do it if it isn't worth it, that's why I made the thread. :P
 
Get a download manager

This way you can pause the download and resume it when ever you want.

An hour? That's nothing, i've spent over a week downloading things in the past!

Woah...I spent about 2 days downloading Crysis 1 from steam :D.
