Another thing that I really miss in Dirt 3 is the ability to drive any car on any track.

corsica, great britain & spain!!!! also more focus on true point-to-point rallying and not this whole Gymkhana, X Games mainstream stuff.

Exactly... I want a pure rally game. I don't feel the need to smash cardboard robots with my car or spin donuts for minutes... But back on topic I do miss Japan, UK, Spain and Germany. Those were my favourite rallies in DiRT1. I also have the feeling the tracks are not as interesting as in the first game. I had a few favourite tracks in DiRT1, I can't say the same for DiRT3.

Japan in the CM series were great course, too bad we didn't get them.

That's still not 'in the air' he's doing that stuff for take off and landing by applying weight shifting on take off and on landing he is using the wheels movement to change the way the car reacts when it hits. Nothing like changing the way the car moves in the air once it's airborn as was implied by dustdriver, though he may have meant what McRae explains. Surely? I can't see how the wheels spinning would make a huge difference, if it does then I have misunderstood and will never understand .

If it is actually in the air, I'd call overkill anyway as this isn't a full sim. We don't need things like that really.

Got Dirt 3 as a birthday present over the weekend, after reading all the positives about the game I was expecting to be impressed. I guess overall i am impressed but as a hardcore really fan who wanted the real rally experience the massive flaws were obvious from the start.

Whenever I play a new game I check out all the menus and see everything the game has to offer. I checked out the rally mode first and saw only 4 different locations!? At first i thought you must be able to unlock more but no, theres only 4.

I really wanted a full tarmac location. And it just seems strange to have only 4 when the previous titles had more. And whats worse is how short some of the stages are. The stages should be 3 minutes long MINIMUM. I remember the old old WRC games had full length stages, like almost 10 minutes long.

But I realise this game has to be a comprimise to appeal to a wider audience. The visuals are stunning, sounds are amazing. Handling is a bit twitchy at first, but theres a good sense of the cars weight and with the advanced difficulty setting it can be quite challenging.

It was always going to be a must have for me, and I reccomend it 👍
