How long does a 4 stroke last compared to a 2 stroke? I have heard 30 hrs if you're racing for a new top end, up to 150 if you ride casually for 2 strokes. On 4 strokes...I heard there's less maintenance, but when it breaks then prepare yourself. So how many hours for top end, bottom end?

Thanks:tup:👍

It depends, what type of dirtbike?
Trail bikes need only regular maintenance, you don't have to replace pistons or anything.
If the bike is old or has been ridden a lot, then setting the valves and stuff like that would be preferred.

If you are racing at a high level, then you will have to stick to a strict maintenance schedule, every few races or so.

It shouldn't really matter whether a trail bike is 2 or 4 stroke. They are so reliable that it is not a big issue, XRs are practically bulletproof.
