Im kinda disapointed that the game didnt turn out to be that good. Not been able to do a wheelie on an hayabusa wtf! I have seen Hayabusas(stock) do wheelies for over a mile going down the road ! And another thing haveing to earn the bikes thats stupid cus the challenges are hard as Shi* .Why can't u just buy the bikes like u can buy cars in Gt4?Is anyone out there feeling the same way about Tourist Trophy???
Please now!

Nope, spamming certain racing events in order to earn cash is a tedious. Further, unlocking bikes in the challenge mode ensures that one gets to know each vehicle, rather than simply purchasing and then stashing them in the garage. In a few days you’ll find most of the challenges to be quite a bit easier.

Yeah I thought they were hard at first, but they are really quite easy once you get some practice. My thoughts on the game are quite opposite of yours, it has really exceeded my expectations! I love it!

ditto...i was beyond impressed the second the intro finished. great game. also, by earning the bikes, you arent buying a car that you dont deserve to race in.

I have to agree. So far in my couple hours of playing tonight I would have to say this is a very good/great game.

It's fun learning new racing lines on the tracks as well:)

Yeah, it's a bit early to say the game is hard. It's so easy to look at the game, and play it in a GT4 mindset. The most important thing to remember is that it's not GT4. And it's going to take a while to get used to how it controls. Which is why I like the fact that it plays with the controller.. DS2 for TT, DFP for GT.

I've yet to make a clean lap on the 'Ring. Granted, I didn't play it for long, but I'm downright pathetic at this point. I was happy that I could get a lap of less than ten minutes, and I can do that in a frikkin' van in GT.

Just gotta give it some time. This is an all new thing. We all said the same thing when we picked up GT for the first time back in '97.

i think this game is a great launchpad for further TT games. im thinking of it as a prototype. im sure when the second one comes out (think another will? i do) we will have more bikes and more options. maybe a better established TT mode with deeper gameplay. i think its great!

i did get a hayabusa yet bit anything else on my garage wheelies for a long distance and can do stoppies too you just have to deactivate the option "failure conditions"

I put the game on "pro" mode as soon as I started it, so I was about to smash my controller a couple times at first, but I got used to it now. The only thing that sucks is that there is no room for mistakes. If you screw up, you are bound to fall.

I was playing it till 1 in the morneing i earned two bikes and almost finished the expert license.Maybe i didn't give the game a chanse. But i like it so far still kinda disapointed that the Honda 900 CBR didn't make it but what can you do.Like they say you can't judge a book by its cover!

Oh by the way it is one of the best bike sims I have played gotta give it that.

I'm loving the game. I actually played it with the failure restrictions on for most of the day yeasterday - very frustrating - if you go off track or touch the other bike you get a 10 second penalty, plus you cant wheelie or do stopies. Once I figured out that I could change that option I'm finding that this game is very easy, and I'm making an effort not to go through it too quickly. Its a much smaller game then GT4, but its alot of fun, and as a motorcyclist, I'm am generally pleased with the physics. (Bikes dont highside but they will tip over on the other side if the back end comes out too far and you chop the throttle). Great first effort from PD.

Yes it can only get better in future TT's, and to think what it'll be like on PS3 with load's more bikes and stunning graphics, if anythings going to tempt me into buying a ps3 it's gonna be GT5 and TT2. Cant get enough of good car and bike games. If only they could get better and more challenging AI it'd be more of a racing game than a test drive game.

It is challenging but I still like the game. The only thing I'm disappointed with in this game is that there aren't more AI riders in the races. So far, the biggest field of bikes I've seen in a race was 4 (myself included). Other than that, I like it.

That's what a highside is.

I love watching the crashes!

I enjoy the challenges and like that you have to actually earn the bikes rather than just pay for them. What's the point of having a high-end superbike rot in your garage because you don't know how to ride it?

The physics in this game are terrible....

ehhh.. No they're not... From a bike riding idiots (like myself) perspective, they're actually quite good...

All the bike does in this game is lay down as the rear steps out, then start rolling. It doesn't snap over the top, and the rider stays behind the bike. At least I haven't yet seen a real highside in the game.

OTOH, am I the first to point out the the bikes ROLL!?!?!?!?! That's new. Cars don't roll in the GT series, so the physics is tweaked at least that far.

As for running challenges to win bikes instead of buying them, I love it. Checking out the bike as part of the process is a great idea.

Edit (4-13-06) - - - Now that I posted this a few days ago, I haven't been able to duplicate what I thought I saw in a license test, the bike rolling after a crash. A crash during racing recovers too fast, no time to watch, but when you crash out of a license test, you can watch the bike for 2 or 3 seconds, at least. I could swear I'd seen one rolling, but I can't make it happen now that I want to, so perhaps I was mistaken, unlikely though that may be.:)

Edit again (4-14) I retract my retraction. I've run a bunch more challenges tonight, and on some of the mistakes, I've seen bikes roll several times.

Is it just me or do the physics get really really wierd when you hit the dirt. The bike seems "swirly," but its like the whole bike is moving back and forth. Maybe its just the camera. I also really am unhappy they decided to keep making you switch to 1080i every time you turn off the game. Can't they just ask you if you want to keep it in 1080i mode when the game starts up???? Somebody needs a

for that....

Imagine carrying your PS2 to your friends house for a party, he doesn't have an HDTV, and you didn't set it back to 480i. No gameplay.

That's the only reason I can think of for not being able to save it, but it's a pretty good one.

I think that's just a 'kitty litter' effect you're feeling. The bike loses speed and precision as there is no traction in the dirt, it bogs down as the wheels dig in, and it gets an awful lot of wheelspin. I've had a bike go through 3 gears in the dirt, then have to shift back down when it got back on the road. Assuming I made it back to the road. It compares to the slow-down effect in GT4 and going off into the dirt, like, for example, short-cutting the chicane at Apricot Hill.

No, I'm talking about after you come out of the dirt, and the bike goes all swirly, I dunno just feels unnatural if you are using 3rd person view. Also, they should just have a pop-up at the start of the game verifying you want to keep it in 1080i mode, simple, and you don't have to switch everytime...

And one more thing, the last corner on Suzuka, holy freaking gayest corner ever. I don't know what line you are suppose to take, but out of about 20 tries on the s-10 test, I only got through the corner two times.... Either a) I overshot it just barely so I had to slow down so much I'd fall on the second corner b) I'd cut the corner just barely enough and fail for going in the gravel c) Fall or go in the dirt coming out of the corner...

Worst, corner, ever....

Maybe a result of overspeed on the rear wheel? My experience is that the bike's driveline speeds up in the dirt, while the bike doesn't, then when you hit the pavement, you've got wheelspin till grip catches up and slows the wheel back down to the bike's actual speed.

As for Suzuka, that turn is one of the most difficult, because of its speed. You have to hit it just right, at just the right speed. It's a classic demonstration of "early in-early out," or having to lose too much speed by turning in late. I've never done it right in GT4, and my success continues into TT.:indiff:

The one in GT4 is a little different, uses the corner before, and I can do that corner very well, but the TT corner further past the car course is just impossible it seems...

from what i heard GT4 was the same way 👍

think of it more like GT4 PROLOGUE or GT CONCEPT, its not a huge game, there are over 100 bikes, 40 liscence tests, a very cool challenge mode where you pick the bike you want and then race to win it, there are also series races. you can unlock riding gear, helmets, gloves, pants, jackets, racing suits, you can change the exhaust on most bikes and they actually change in apperence.

this was PD's first attempt at making a bike game and they did a fantastic job, i have played almost every bike game on PS2 & XBOX and this is byfar the best bike sim ever !!! believe it or not i have not even turned on my 360 since i bought TT, it really is that good.

if your a fan of the GT series or if you loved GT4 then there is no reason not to like the game. you have to take a different line than you would with a car so you basicly have to learn the tracks all over again.

there is a phoomode much like GT4 but there is also a "best photo" option after each race that randomly takes pics of your race (very cool) you can save pics to USB FLASHDRIVE just like GT4, but new and exclusive to TT is the ability to transfer replay data through your USB FLASHDRIVE !!!

IMO this game is a must have and i would rate it a 8.5/10

it could be beter, but hey thats what sequels are for 👍
