Disc unreadable- switch to digital?

Can I download the digital version and keep my save?

I’ve got an appointment at the local service centre, but if this works I am happy as it’s the only game I have / play.

Tried to search but couldn’t get an answer.

Your progress in GT7 is saved on the GT servers. So regardless of the game type (disc or digital) or whichever console you're on, as long as you use the same PSN account, your progress will be there
