Officine Fioravanti is a company dedicated to restoring, and often lightly improving old italian supercars. They're also the ones responsible for putting a manual shifter in the Alfa 8C, fixing possibly the biggest missed oportunity by Maserati with their mid 00s lineup, and by extension Alfa with the 8C. And now, to commemorate Toruing Superleggera's 100th anniversary, they've revealed this, the Disco Volante Manuale.

Ultimately all they've done is install their 8C manual swap on the Disco Volante. They've also replaced the carbon ceramic units of the original car with new, presumably different, carbon ceramics. Jeremy Clarkson did complain they felt "spongy", but if they wanted to fix that, they should have given it regular steel brakes.

Beyond that, though, it's still the same. In my opinion the best V8 ever made, paired with the best design ever made. And now, it's actually enjoyable to drive.

When Touring revealed the Veloce12 I almost asked to change my username, because that thing, with the gated shifter, felt really special. And for a while, it did dethrone the Disco Volante in my heart. But this, to continue with Clarkson's simile, is the second coming.
